Psychotherapy

Dr. Debralyn Woodberry-Shaw is an educator, licensed social worker, and researcher. She specializes in working with children (5-13 years old) individually and in groups on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, emotion regulation, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationships, transitions/dealing with change, school issues, identity exploration, social skills, everyday stressors, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Dr. Woodberry approaches therapy from a place of wonder by listening to the client's strengths and needs. When working with children, she also collaborates with their caregivers and leans towards a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and strength-based therapy. Over the last 15+ years Dr. Woodberry has worked to support young people and the adults that work with them on their holistic health (i.e., emotional/mental, intellectual, physical, spiritual, social, vocational) journeys in various settings (e.g., schools, afterschool programs, summer camps, scouts).
